Career Opportunities Software Engineers: Senior Software Engineer – Pattern Recognition Development **New** Senior software Engineer will be responsible for the architecture, design and development of new pattern matching/recognition software applications used on/by existing and future products, scientists and application engineers. Use existing software applications to add material pattern matching detectors to the database library. Design and develop mathematical analysis routines and algorithms to improve the Material Recognition System Engine (MRSE). Write internal documents including material database logs and technical documentation. Must have at least 5 years experience developing software using C++ in a windows environment and 2 years of product development experience. Must have experience developing SQL databases, developing desktop applications and DLLs, implementing Mathematical and Data Processing Algorithms in software, and designing or developing classification and / or detection algorithms in software. Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the continued design and development of material detection platform's chassis and enclosures. Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will report directly to Senior Vice President of Engineering. Candidate must be flexible, have the ability to multi-task and present technical presentations directly to development engineering and management teams.. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of mechanical design and development experience in an R&D environment. Should have a proven track record of bringing products to market. Should have solid modeling experience, an understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly process, in-depth knowledge of DFM techniques, and the ability to perform system and card level thermal design. X-ray enclosure design, X-ray shielding design, and familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts and practices are a plus. Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.
Senior Software Engineer - SQL / Web Services Senior software Engineer will be responsible for the continued development and maintenance of the secure data collection, management, reporting, and XT250 update software package. Software Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining and adding new enhancements to the XT250 desktop application using VC++. Must have at least 2 years experienced with the use of the Visual Studio .NET 2003/2005 IDE and Object Oriented Programming techniques. Should have a proven track record of bringing products to market. Experience with Visual Studio 6, Design Patterns, Adobe Flex, Flash, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop is a plus. Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent work experience is required.
Senior Software Engineer - APP (Windows) Senior software Engineer will be responsible for design and development of the Windows Host Software Application for an X-Ray Control System. Engineer will write internal documents including functional and engineering specifications, project plans, and technical documentation. Must have 3+ years experience in Software Development with 1-2 years experience in Windows Software Development. Should have experience developing software applications for proprietary hardware products, from concept to customer. Should have experience with GUI driven application development and Windows Application development using Ethernet and USB control mechanisms. Should have knowledge in the development and use of MS SQL 2005 Stored Procedures and PostgreSQL Views and functions. Should have knowledge of Software Encryption/Decryption methodologies. Advanced Encryption Standard 256-bit (AES256) knowledge a plus. Experience developing applications for Real Time Operating Systems (QNX, VxWorks, GHS Integrity), or Linux Operating Systems (Open Source, MontaVista, Lynuxworks) is also a plus. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.
